HOW TO TREAT OILY HAIR
OILY HAIR?
You wash your hair in the morning and style it to perfection, all ready to look good through the day. But a quick glance in the mirror after a few hours reveals a different story. Your hair seems to have become oily and greasy look you never even washed it in the first place!
There are many ways to prevent this situation. Use of the right product and especially the right application will do the job.
- Cleanse
To cleanse the hair it is best to use a shampoo specifically for oily roots. The scalp produces sebum to keep your hair flexible. When massaging the scalp the sebius glans gets activated and starts producing more sebum. This is not what you want to achieve. Putting more tension on the scalp will result in more sebum. So use less tension to shampoo your hair and let the shampoo do its job.
One of our favorite recommendations is Kerastase specifique bain divalent. It is designed for a oily scalp but for sensed lenghts.
2. Don’t wash to often
Your scalp has the intention to produce more sebum when it thinks it is necessary. Try to extend the time between your shampoos. Trust us this is the hardest part of the treatment but absolutely worth it. We totally understand that you cannot hide yourself for weeks but luckily there are some hair hacks that will help you.
Start using texture products. Texture products like Matrix mess maker contain salt. The salt in those products absorb the sebum so you can extend the duration of your fresh hairdo. When it gets oily or close to oily you can top up with a dry shampoo like Matrix Texture builder. This will absorb the sebum and your fresh again. It will also sit better because it gives you an extra additional hold & volume.
This is the best way to fool your scalp. It will stop producing sebum and every time you repeat this you will see that your condition will improve.
